(HOD EJ Department)
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Branch deals with analog & digital transmission and reception of data, voice and video, basic electronics, solid state devices, microprocessors & micro-controllers, digital & analog communication, analog integrated circuit satellite communication, mobile communication, microwave engineering, antenna and wave progression. It also deals with manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits and communication equipment like transmitter, receiver,
integrated circuits, microwaves and fibre optics. It aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of the students on the basic concepts and theories that will equip them in their professional work involving analysis, system implementation, operation, production and maintenance of various application in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Electronics is off shoot of Electrical Engineering. It deals with IC’s and large scale integration as applied in household and industrial appliances. The instruments in various fields viz. Medical, mechanical, radio, transistor, telephone, mobile phone, TV sets, radar, Satellites, etc., are based on electronics. Manufacturing repairs and maintenance of computers also come under the scope of Electronics Engineers. The labs have all generation of microprocessor, micro-controller and the large number of PCB’s for conducting practicals. The laboratories are fully equipped with control systems, Linear integrated circuit, Charts, Models required for project work in final year.
