Admission Procedure for First Year and Direct Second Year

1.The admissions are carried out as per the norms and schedule framed by the DTE from time to time.

2.Institute is participated in Centralized Admission Process (CAP):- The Competent Authority shall invite Online Applications from Candidates for participating in CAP for seeking admission.

3.Institute Level and Vacant Seats of CAP Round:
Eligible candidates seeking admission to first year of diploma course should submit their application form complete in all respect together with necessary documents, to the institute's office as per the schedule issued by DTE, which will be displayed on the institute's notice board.

4.Selection for admission will be strictly on the basis of inter-se-merit of the eligible candidates from the respective State Board areas based on theof 5 marks at the S.S.C. (Std. X) examination. The merit list will be displayed on the institute's Notice Board.

5.Notices from time to time will be put up declaring the names of the candidates selected for admission in order of merit, indicating the date by which they must appear forCandidates should, therefore, see the notice board regularly, if a candidate fails to report along with all original certificates on schedule time and date, his / her admission will be cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next candidates as per the merit list.

6.merit list of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained at SSC (including marks for sports, if mentioned in mark sheet) :Provided that, in case of tie, the relative merit of Candidates shall be resolved in the following order of preference and the methodology as specified below :-
First Year

  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject Mathematics at SSC.
  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject Science at SSC.
  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject English at SSC.
  • Passing HSC Science.
  • Passing HSC with Minimum Competency Vocational Course.
  • Passing ITI Trade of 2 Years duration.
  • Passing Intermediate Grade Drawing examination.

Direct Second Year

  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject Mathematics at SSC.
  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject Science at SSC.
  • Higher percentage of marks in the subject English at SSC.

Submission of Documents (First & Direct Second Year)

The candidate called for detailed scrutiny of the application must produce the following certificates in original at the time of scrutiny /interview. In case all the relevant documents are not produced, the candidate will loose his/her claim for admission and his/her request for extension of the date will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Candidates shall attach attested copies of all the required certificates to be submitted alongwith the Application Form at the time of Submission & Original Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission as follows:

  5. Mark Sheet of HSSC ( if applicable)
  6. Mark Sheet of 8th and 9th class
  7. Domicile Certificate.-Only for Type B & C candidates **
  8. Gap certificate (if applicable).
  9. Gap certificate of 6 months for ITI students taking admission to First Year or Direct Second Year Diploma
  10. Four colored photographs of 3.5 x 3.5 cm size.
  11. Caste Certificate VJ/NT(A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)/OBC/SBC/SC
  12. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for VJ/NT(A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)/OBC/SBC valid upto 31st March 2018.

For Institute Level Quota (ILQ) Admissions (First Year)

Following documents are necessary for Admission

  1. SSC/CBSE Mark Sheet, Equivalent grade conversion Manual Marksheet for CBSE students
  2. Migration Certificate for CBSE & ICSE students
  3. Hall Ticket of 10th CBSE Board Based Examination
  4. School Leaving Certificate (Original )
  5. Mark Sheet of HSSC ( if applicable)
  6. Mark Sheet of 8th and 9th class
  7. Domicile Certificate.-Only for candidates of Maharashtra State, Maharashtra Domicile Certificate.
  8. Gap certificate (if applicable for First Year students or Direct Second Year Diploma Students)
  9. Gap certificate of 6 months for ITI students taking admission to First Year or Direct Second Year Diploma
  10. Four colored photographs of 3.5 x 3.5 cm size.

NOTE:

  1. All the students taking admission at ILQ level are treated as OPEN candidate and they are not eligible to avail any Government Scholarships for category students.
  2. CAP registration is compulsory for students taking admission for ILQ seats from this year.

*In lieu of the "Certificate of Indian Nationality" following documents will also be acceptable-

1. The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as 'Indian'. 2. Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authority. 3. Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India.

** Domicile certificate:

Domicile certificate issued by the Maharashtra State’s appropriate authorities will be considered valid. The domicile certificate of Mother of the candidate shall be supported with marriage certificate and legal proof of change in name if any. Such candidates will be required to submit birth certificate clearly mentioning the name of the mother.
